Journal #6: Digital Business
The thing I found surprising about this unit is that so many people use Paypal. I thought people that people with ebay accounts are the only one with Paypal accounts. Its kinda confusing to me that PayPal is still in business because they don't charge barely anything so there must be a lot of users to keep it going. Yes i purchase stuff online all the time like parts and accessories and i never got scammed using it before and i used well over 10 times. I never sold any thing on that website though and i don't know it i would or not.

2) Paypal keeps your identity safe while shopping at all online stores by keeping your personal information anonymous. Dad and I just gave your bank information, and Paypal securely stores it for us.
3) PayPal makes there money by charging a small fee to all its sellers.
4) Also PayPal gives you a 14 day returning in case you don't like it or it don't fit and they included free return shipping cost.
5) Yes because it is quick, and easy, and secure. So my seller would be safe with his information.
6) Once I compared Paypal to Google Wallet I found that I preferred Paypal more. I preferred Paypal more than the others because it seems more helpful and secure. Also i use Paypal personal.

Journal Entry #5 (Digital Wellness)
After I finished the unit on digital wellness, there are a few things that surprised me. One thing was noticing how much time people spend using all the different technology. Including cellphones. When we do the meter stick thing, it showed how far you can go while texting and driving. It basically shows that you have no control of the vehicle if you are texting while driving. I did not find this unit difficult in any way. The only thing I can think of that may have been difficult for me would be having to think of five pledges and remembering them.
I think the biggest problem for young people when it comes to digital wellness would be the amount of time they spend on technology everyday. I can think of people that will not do anything without their phone. It is like an addiction too some people. It is not healthy to spend that much time on it. I would say a maximum of five hours a day is more than enough time with technology.

Assignment #1: One Mississippi
1. Seeing this distance in meter sticks, it made me feel like i never want to look away from the road. Even thought it does not seem like a far distance when your think of it just being a second, but it is actually quite long and especially dangerous if someone looked away for more than one second.
2. One way this is effective is because it makes you think about looking away from the road and helps people be more responsible with their actions. One reason it may not change anything because people may think that sort of thing would never happen to them and will not think about it again until it may be too late.
3. Something that would help with the problem of people looking away is a device for the car that will allow you to speak to it and receive calls by talking freely so you don't have to look down at your phone.
4. If I was in a car with a distracted driver, I think I would tell them because it is important that they are aware of the road because a lot of people could get hurt from just one person looking away from the road and could lead to possible deaths.

Journal Entry #4 (Netiquette)
Something I found most surprising when it comes to issues around netiquette would be how you can be so rude without even realizing half the time. No I don't think that most Internet users read or concern themselves with the terms of service/use agreements when joining a site or online service because they want to just hurry up and get on the site or its way too much to read. They should go over the terms of agreement because a lot of things they are agreeing to can affect them in the near future. Considering the different issues this unit looked at about behaving appropriately online, on a scale of 1-10 I would rate my own online behaviour as an 8 because I am not perfect online because I don't read the terms of agreement but I'm never bad or rude online. One thing I can take away from this unit and put in practice to improve my online behaviour would be learn how to take the time to read through the terms of service agreement because I never do and my luck something will happen in the future because I did not read them. I think the biggest issue when it comes to netiquette would be like I said reading the terms.
Assignment #3: "Netiquette" Online Discussion Boards
1. Many of these guidelines are similar to how we expect people to act face to face because it is like the same thing. When talking face to face people try to be polite, respectful and be nice, the same goes for people talking on the internet.
2.- Don’t bad mouth and call people names online because you wouldn't want them doing it to you
-Don’t write anything as sarcastic that someone might take wrong if you think it's funny but they might take it the wrong way
-Don’t cause fights with someone online just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean it’s going to hurt less
-If someone says something that hurts your feelings but they didn’t intend to don't hold it against them just accept their apology and get over it.
3. Yes I have made a comment on something before not in a negative way just to either tag someone into a funny video or something like that. I haven’t made a comment to hurt anyone's feelings or make anyone feel out of place.
4. I don't know if I would enjoy a class like that but some people need to have a class like that because some girls don’t know how to treat other people online they need to be taught right from wrong so I don’t know if I would like a class like that but i think it would be beneficial.
